Pop Beauty's Orange Nail Glam Is An En Fuego Take On Christo's The Gates

One coat and you're done? We're in!

When it comes to fidelity and nail polish, well you can color us simply unfaithful. We'll be head over heels (like the Tears For Fears song!) for one brand's color, and then suddenly something new will catch our eye and it's on to the next one (like the Jay-Z song!).

Currently, the object of our sluttish nail-polish affection is Pop Beauty's spectacular Nail Glam polish in Orange. True, its name is slightly uninspired, but it's succinct to a fault. But we're nothing if not hyperbolic and out of a job if not descriptive. So, to put a fine point on it, Pop Beauty's Orange polish, aside from being our nail polish du jour, is beyond orange. It's the color of traffic cones, that plastic safety-fencing stuff, and a more en fuego take on Christo and Jeanne-Claude's The Gates. Basically, it's sweltering August humidity in a bottle.

And where there's style there's substance, as the formula is unbeatable. Like Chanel's polishes, Pop's mastered the elusive art of creating a nail polish that's the perfect consistency, goes on so easily it practically paints itself, and couldn't get goopy if it tried. It dries almost instantly, and since it's heavily pigmented and completely opaque, you really just need one coat, which is almost unheard of for a fluorescent. Dash on two quick coats, wait for it to dry (for, like maybe two seconds), and you get this satisfyingly rubbery consistency with nary a brushstroke in sight and absolutely no icky stickiness.

Not into orange? Try Pop Beauty's Turquoise Nail Glam — it's the color of Smurfs! — or Mandarin, which totally nails (har) the color of New York City cabs. And Tomato is just that without the acid reflux. Pop Beauty, you may've reformed our promiscuous nail-polish ways.
