Stila One-Step Correct Primer Is Four Things In One

How can one product deal with SO many issues? It's a makeupmiracle!

Recently we sashayed out of Sephora after buying Flower Bomb (so gorgeous! And obviously we were walking like a regular person... it's just kinda fun to say sashay), when we spotted a beauty product that looked like... Birthday cake? Confetti? Miniature phone cords? WTF? It was weird and awesome-looking, and we were on it like a heat-seeking missile. And while unfortunately it wasn't birthday cake (boo!), it was Stila's new One-Step Correct primer, and it's the most fun thing we've seen since the Double Rainbow video. In fact, One-Step Correct is the double rainbow of primers/correctors.

First of all the bottle is see-through, and who doesn't love see-through stuff? But, like yer mom always said, it's what's on the inside that counts. And what's on the inside is what's officially (we think) referred to as swirl technology, which is this cool triple helix (not to get all Crick and Watson on you) of green, peach and lavender brighteners, which contain good things like camellia oleifera-leaf extract, ginseng-root extract, and gingko biloba, all suspended in serum. It kinda looks like cake frosting twirled together. Anyway, the green fights redness, which is fantastic if you're prone to looking all red-faced, like Mrs. Claus. Or a stereotypical cartoon drawing of an olde-timey hobo. Peach brightens, and lavender reinvigorates sallow (as in yucky yellowish) skin. Meanwhile the serum, which cools and doesn't get greasy or overly slick, bonds them all together, so you don't look meh.

And, since we're still in a recession, remember, you walk away with four fun and helpful things in one. Why settle for one product when you can get four products? Like, that's just basic math and common sense. Anyway, it all comes out of the little pump looking like marbleized glass. Or like a lava lamp. Or like Aquafresh toothpaste, but more exciting and pastel. And it definitely brings down redness and does a great job of brightening, creating luminosity, minimizing pores, and subtly tweaking what needs it and where. But it may take you a while to realize its effects because you'll be too busy going all “Double Rainbow!” and “What does it mean?” over the swirls. You’ve been warned.
