A Little 'Fur' Jacket Shall Hang Alongside Our Shearling This Winter
So we're a little fickle! So what!
OK, we know we just freaked out on shearling jackets. And now, barely two weeks later, we’re going on about how obsessed we are with rabbit fur (real or faux) coats.
It’s kind of like that Saturday Night Live Weekend Update skit in which Tina and Amy invite Steve Jobs (played excellently by Fred Armisen) on the program, and he keeps introducing new Ipod models — the Micro, Pequeno and Invisa — only to excitedly declare that each was obsolete not five seconds later. (If you have not seen this, watch it now, and finish reading this once you have).
So now that you know how fickle our outerwear-minded hearts can be (although the shearling still has a hanger on reserve in our closet once the temperature drops), we have to say, this 180 wasn’t entirely our fault. Were we really supposed to resist pics of musician Coco Sumner looking casually cool in her tan version with a Peter Pan collar? Or ignore that she styles it so artfully with tartan scarves, skinny jeans, and rock T-shirts that it sends us into fashion-reverie land? No.
That said, the closest match we’ve found is currently at Opening Ceremony, although if you want to go fake, there are some great ones at ASOS here, here, and here. And there’s always hitting up eBay and vintage stores. In the meantime, watch this space for our impending fixation on tuxedo tails… we wouldn’t put it past us.
