In Case You Didn't Know Already, Babycakes Is The Shiz
This is what we at Naag affectionately call 'the office'.

Whoever said that whole cupcake scene in New York City is so over is so wrong. We love our cupcakes like we love Saturday afternoons drinking homemade mimosas in Thompson Square Park. They’re like little rainbows in the form of deliciousness. Our favorite cupcakes are at Babycakes in the Lower East Side, a tiny bakery with a vintage sign and bench out front that’s just as cute as the NYU staff in aprons inside.
First of all, the cupcakes here are not 100 percent bad for you. Babycakes is a vegan bakery (refined-sugar-free, gluten-free, egg-free, wheat-free), which would lead you to believe they taste like crap. But it’s quite the opposite. The base (cake part) has a hint of sweetness that’s both tender and flavorful, completely complementing the deliciousness of the icing, so there’s a happy medium. The icing is made in-house and so fresh you have to eat the cupcakes right away or it will melt all over your fingers and not taste the same. Seriously, trust us. You’ll be hooked.
