The Pancakes At Clinton Street Baking Company Will Blow Your Freakin' Mind
Then there's the biscuits... the pies... the shakes... the chips... aaaaaargh!!!
So we're definitely not the type to wait in line for like a club, even if it's packed to the bone with hotties and celebrities (well, we'll make an exception for funny B-listers like Amy Sedaris). Restaurants: totally different story, especially with Clinton Street Baking Company. This awesome restaurant is all about charm. Kind of like a little diner (that no-frills concept) but with an actual atmosphere. We've seriously never gone when there's not been a wait for a table. You can wait for up to two hours for brunch, which as you can imagine, is a fabulous feeling when it's 95 degrees out and you're hungover and just want bacon. However, It's a) worth it b) completely indicative of how delish the food is.
They pretty much serve breakfast all day and everything is made from scratch, including their amazing buttermilk biscuits. You know how something about the water in New York City makes the bagels so awesome? Same thing with Clinton Street Bakery. Their baked goods are off the chain, yo. and we're not the only ones who've noticed. Clinton Street has racked up awards from top critics for best pies, best pancakes (this is official, they come with maple butter and you can surely die happy after shoveling them in - Ed), most luscious muffins and, obviously, best buttermilk biscuits. Our stomach just totally grumbled.
